Stivarga is used to treat cancer of the colon and rectum which has spread to other parts of the body. It is also used to treat liver cancer and some certain type of cancer of the digestive system. Stivarga works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells.
Take this medicine orally with a low fat meal as directed by your doctor usually once daily for 21 days, and then stop the medicine for 7 days. This is one cycle of treatment. Continue to take this medicine this way as directed by doctor. Swallow the medicine as whole. Do not crush, chew or split the tablets. Basically, the dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
